The Certified Confidentiality Officer (CCO) Program

BECCA offered paper and pencil tests for many years at the request of the U.S. DoD and others, but hardcopy tests are no longer required. Most CCO functions are now online, including the CCO test. This will make the certification process easier for everyone in both the public and private sectors.

Skill Standards & Certification
William M. Johnson took part in a research project cosponsored by the U.S. Departments of Labor and Education to "adopt a strategy to establish job-related (and industry-specific) skill standards, built around core proficiencies, and to develop skill certificates to accompany these standards." (Federal Register /Vol.57/ March 18, 1992.) The CCO Program is based on this research, updated regularly and available to qualified applicants in both the public & private sectors.

"The U.S. Department of Education is impressed with the BECCA Certified Confidentiality Officer (CCO) Program. We are especially impressed that a private organization has gone ahead on its own with this much-needed project." (Dept. of Education, Business and Educational Standards)

"The CCO is the only management level certification that provides an overview of Business Espionage. The CCO may consult with and or supervise various and numerous technical specialists." (DoD)

The CCO Program supports the Intelligence and Information Technology Military Occupational Specialties, and a number of others. (See Military COOL, Credentialing Opportunities On-Line)

Professional certification validates your training and experience in your present career and provides a bridge to the future when your career is in transition. The CCO Program fills the needs of a wide range of busy professionals and is based on accepted educational standards.
